FAQ
WHAT EXACTLY IS IV THERAPY?
IV therapy is a therapeutic treatment using intravenous fluids to rehydrate and replenish your body with vital minerals and nutrients. The IV is placed directly into the vein allowing direct access to the bloodstream so it is entirely absorbed, wasting nothing. This aids in absorption by bypassing digestion and liver detoxification.
HOW IS IV THERAPY BENEFICIAL?
This is the most efficient way to deliver the highest quality nutrient, minerals, and hydration directly into your system without wasting any of the product. This can be beneficial for anti-aging, immune support, sleep, relaxation, mood, hydration, recovery, endurance, and many other benefits!
IS THIS SAFE FOR ME?
You must consult your medical team if you are unsure about the appropriateness and safety of receiving IV nutrients. Our medical director, Dr. Heather Flood will do a very basic screening for any overt contraindications. If there is any question or concern, you must speak to your team first.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE PER INFUSION?
This is dependent on various factors including hydrations status, vein accessibility, and the particular IV drip selected. Expect to spend 30-60 minutes in our cozy IV rooms while receiving your treatment.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Potential side effects may include burning or stinging at the infusion site, muscle spasm, weakness or fatigue. On very rare occasions, an allergic reaction or thrombophlebitis (inflammation of the vein) may occur.
DOES IT HURT?
Our nurses are experienced professionals and can give quick and typically painless IVs. We put them to the test by administering on us before they treat you! Most people will feel a very slight and quick pinch upon insertion.
WHO ADMINISTERS THE IV TREATMENTS?
Prior to your treatment you will have a telephone consultation with our medical director to confirm basic safety of the treatment, and then the IV will be administered by one of our highly trained registered nurses or physicians.
HOW OFTEN CAN I RECEIVE IV THERAPY?
This is variable and based on your individual and unique needs. Our team can help determine the appropriate frequency for you which could range from weekly to monthly to even quarterly.
DOES INSURANCE COVER IV THERAPY?
This is an elective service and not a medical treatment, therefore we do not accept insurance.
DO YOU TAKE WALK-INS?
We recommend calling ahead for approximate wait times as you will need to have a brief consultation with our medical director prior to your treatment.
DO YOU HOST PARTIES, OFFER GROUP SERVICES, OR DO SPECIAL EVENTS?
We sure do! Whether it’s a bachelor/bachelorette, birthday party recovery, corporate event, or preparation/recovery of a sporting event we are happy to accommodate your requests! Please email drip@zenflowiv.com for group inquiries.
ARE THERE ANY CANCELLATION FEES?
Rescheduling is allowed 24-hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Cancellations are non-refundable.
